We are founded on the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori, while also adapting to today’s 21st-century child with a modern approach to guide and nurture our children.

At Town & Country Montessori, children are guided through the traditional Montessori philosophy method, its values, and the natural development process with a modern approach. Our Montessori philosophy allows us to enhance the twenty-first-century child's learning capabilities and abilities from the basic hands-on learning, which is vital to his/her development to the next level. We hope this will enable our children to transition to an abstract learning approach, including in today’s world of innovation and technology, with their own ideas, creativity, and leadership skills.

We offer our children a prepared and nurturing environment that includes a trained teacher—a "guide" who will observe and guide each child—and an assistant/s. Therefore, our prepared environment, along with a trained guide, allows each child to discover, experience, learn, and develop according to his/her own pace. This prepared environment is designed to respond to each child's particular needs during these sensitive growth periods. Included activities are Practical Life, Sensorial, Math, Language, Botany, Geography, Science, Art, Music, Spanish, Yoga, Gardening, and much more.

By cultivating a child’s natural spontaneity of learning, Town & Country Children’s Montessori brings each child to the fullest possible realization of his/her individual potential and uniqueness. Learning occurs naturally and joyfully at the proper moment for each child and allows them to blossom to the fullest potential possible. Dr. Maria Montessori referred to the birth-to-6-year stage of human life as the “Absorbent Mind,” the most important and critical years of learning, especially the second half, which is the period from 3-to-6 years.

Our Geography activities offer our children a perspective of the world, cultures, and global awareness. We have many "Tour the World" projects to explore the splendor and wonder of our world and the beauty of a multicultural environment. Also, music plays an integral part in our Montessori environment, which has a significant impact on the children’s mind, body, free-spirited self-expression, and enjoyment. Our Head of School, Ms. Surangi, is a pianist and composer who believes in the importance of music and offering it to the very young child in hopes of building music appreciation for a lifetime.
